
Ministerial travel to China and India
Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen will travel to China and India this week for portfolio meetings.
In Beijing ,he will meet with his counterpart Minister Huang Runqiu, Minister of Ecology and Environment, for the 9th Australia-China Ministerial Dialogue on Climate Change.
In New Delhi, he will have a range of meetings with Indian and Australian representatives, including with Minister Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, to convene the first Renewable Energy Partnership Ministers Meeting. He will also meet Minister Manohar Lal, Minister of Power and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, for the 5th India-Australia Energy Dialogue.
In his absence Minister Murray Watt will be acting Minister for Climate Change and Energy.
Minister Bowen will return on Friday 17 October 2025.
